    That’s what we all need, more positive thinking. There’s often a simple solution.

    The question remains, why should a person spend their time uploading a low resolution file that gobbles up 10 – 50 times more 1’s and 0’s than necessary?
    Is there any place in Phun that helps people demystify formats and compression?
    People like theRiver have helped a lot suggesting klcodec, but how many know about Dvix Author 1.5 and later, free for 30 days?.....(many of us keep everything on external HD’s and lay in a fresh Ghost or Acronis image every month anyway).
    You can do assemble edits, trim clips, rearrange them, and easily dial in your output file size. For example, files from 201 to 350 MB can all be tailored to 199 for simple one file DL’s. The amount of motion largely determines how much you can compress your video.

    Next Video Converter is free, doesn’t go south after 30 days, and even does a decent job on wmv.
    I’m sure others have interesting solutions.
