Is there a reliable image grabbing software for Windows Vista ? I used to use Imagegrabber II.Net , but it´s incompatible and since I´m looking for as capable replacement . No progress there and thanks to it I have stopped uploading material ( and it keeps just piling up in astonishing rate ).

I would be very appreciatiave for any help in this matter .

Found mirror for all versions of ImageGrabber :
    Code:
    http://image.grabber.gizliben.googlepages.com/
edit : Forgot to tell you , Media Player Classic isn´t a solution , at least not yet . It was incapable of creating previews for at least half vids pending for upload ( instead of creating snaps in set intervals it created acted as if I set them to fraction of second . No matter how´d changed the settings , the bug was still there.

Could someone please re-upload imagegrabber? I've uploaded a video, without having added screencaps, without realising that this is against the rules. I need to rectify this before people complain. Your help would be much appreciated.

If I use VLC or Media Player Classic to make images of the vid, can I also use those programs to make an overview of all the pics I made of the vid like you can do in Imagegrabber? Imagegrabber also keeps freezing on my PC, so I need to use other software to get the same results.

I have never used VLC or MPL Classic to make images of the vid, i don't know about it :( i'm still using http://www.cd2html.de/download/MovieSnapshot.zip = Movie Snapshot v1.0 =with german help text inside (nothing important), options are in English. When clicking for the site in English, there's an older version!!! "MovieSnapshot 0.4".
The version v1.0 (=latest) i use, is still not perfect, but good enough.
For use on Win9x/2000/XP No install needed and its Freeware. The video file wil be played in Movie Snapshot, very easy to use.
For having advanced options, you may try the free SnagIt 7.2.5 (see above how to get it free). I had used it once, working nice, but it have too much features and options. One example of feature (other tools can be found too with this as only feature): making a vid file from things that are shown/played on your screen (like making a demo or tutorial for friends).

This is only true of some ISPs; in many cases you'll end up with the same one after DAYS (I know, because I lost connectivity for that long once due to a fried modem). With some setups (this is particularly common with Comcast Internet), if no one new joins the service in the neighborhood serviced by your local pole-top cable or DSL box then you'll end up with the same IP address. I do not have a dedicated IP - my IP has in fact changed twice in the last two years - but my attempts to force-change it by doing the disconnect trick have failed every time I've tried it, even when leaving the modem off all night, and even after resetting the modem to factory defaults and reconfiguring it. Others are likely to get this problem. (The trick DOES work sometimes - when I was using Pacific Bell DSL I had no trouble using this trick every other day.)

Even when I use the forum editor's image insertion button, when I preview or post, images do not appear. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I first tried code provide by the image host and pasted that, then tried doing it with the image insertion button then tried doing it manually with the upper-case BBCode commands, and none of the three options worked at all. I've had to simply post URLs to the screencaps of my video upload.

As long as you copy and paste the correct code from the imagehost it should work. What host were you using?

If your not satisfied, i downloaded a month before the software shown below, tried it now, the 1.4.1.1 version. Maybe it does what you wished.
I use a very old pc, cant know if its really stable and or all features are working perfect though. Computer is hanging mostly with looking to "low to- hq" wmv's (25fps wmv video tested for this mesage).
    Caps looked good.
Free Video to JPG Converter 1.4.1.3 (current version on the site)

Aplication window, easy to use (4languages for the version i had):

This below is the window of the manager (23 languages for the version i had) wich pressent all softwares. Aplications that are not installed, are written non fat. In this example i clicked on "9. video to iphone..." and a window opened that asked ....
Number 12 is what you need here ;)

I think I may be doing something wrong as I don't see the reply I tried to do with the url to the MegaRotic Home Page. I'll try this again.
