Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    That is one of the most amazing things anyone has said to me this year. I so had to sig that. :1luvu:

    Now lspiderl, I believe highly in freedom of speech. Who cares if there is a photo attached to it. Some of these celebs are way too "look at me" attention whores, many of whom don't actually do anything besides try to shove themselves down our throats EVERY single day (i.e. Kardashians). I'm convinced Miley paid all those people that would follow her to yoga class EVERY day and update that Miley website with it. Although I understand your point in my opinion, they deprive people of their right of not to have to acknowledge their existence once it gets to the point that they are all over your TV, news sources, etc. and for that, we have the right to vent the frustrations they bring upon themselves.

    For a separate idea, if this rule I don't agree with was to go forward, then to be fair anytime someone made a positive comment, they need to print out one of the pictures and use their splooge to spell phun on it. That would be amazing. :shifty:

    Here's an answer: No. As far as ideas about rules go, yours is a bad one.
    People can trash talk celebs all they want, and whether it makes them look like a dickhead or a hero is purely speculative and wholly subjective. It is my experience that whenever someone talks shit about a celeb criticism of their comment is soon to follow. Personal conduct is another matter, which we think vixen covered pretty well here: http://forum.phun.org/showthread.php?t=972142

    It is not the mandate of the staff to defend the honor of celebs by censoring comments others may deem derogatory. There are exceptions, but they tend to be age appropriate.



    On the other hand, it is the mandate of the staff to act on derogatory comments aimed at one member by another. Keep that in mind as you people continue your discussion.

    Seeing as how this forum has greater activity (as you yourself pointed out elsewhere) perhaps this forum is more appropriate from an exposure standpoint.
