    In profiles, what exactly are referrals and how do they work?

    Also, I noticed I have something in there called User Notes. Can you explain this, too?

    referrals: there´s an option when regstering to add the name of a member who "made you join" here. so someone joined because he/she enjoyed youir contributions ;)
    there´s no way to find out who that is, btw.

    user-notes: mod/admin - option, something like customer information management. we use it to store infos about previous warnings sent, for example. you may call it police record ;)
