  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    sorry, i have a question...the media player classic program linked is only for win2k/xp...how about win98? any version of it available???

    WMP tutorial, courtesy of rx8:


    1. Open your media player

    2. Go to the Settings, Preferences or Options

    3. Look for [/b]Performance, Hardware Acceleration[/b]

    4. Turn it off (or to None), then click apply and OK

    5. Play the vid clip till you find the point you want to capture, then Pause it.

    6. Hold Cltrl key and press Print Screen key

    7. In Paint or Photoshop, open a new document and and press Ctrl (V) or Paste from the menu.

    8. Save capture.

    9. Do this for as many captures as you want.

    Then..........

    10. Open up Word or notepad or similar program

    11. Go to www.imagevenue.com

    12. Upload your pics/captures

    13. For each pic copy the info where it reads "Hotlink a clickable thumbnail on a Forum or Message Board!

    14. Copy/paste the info for each pic you upload into Notepad, Word, etc.

    15.Copy all the info into your post

    16.Preview your post, then submit.

    Make sure you turn the hardware accel. back when your done.
