way too many reposts lately. we might feel the need to limit that by blocking accounts. just sayin.

 

Unfortunately this will fall on deaf ears. Those that care already search, and make every effort to not repost, and there are those who only post to make $$$, don't care about Phun and create multiple accounts to flood the forum.

Users, and mostly Ca$h Whore$, complain that Phun should allow more file hosts, but all that will do is aggravate and already intolerable problem. No need to expand anything in the SVF, because it will only be abused.

 

I think someone said to me that 13 infraction points = ban
Just start giving 1-2 points per re-post and after 6 re-posts bye... (and for fake titles to avoid detection even more points)

And i'm talking about points for real "i don't give a F@#k about search" re-posts.

Cause my 2 re-posts so far: OP title was i.e. "Facial Fest - Unknown model name", i knew model name typed in search, got no hits and re-posted. In that cases just trash 2nd post and no harm done / infr points needed. Also one other good member reposted my topic, but model had about 7 names that she regularly changed and again he searched and got no hits.

Also those fast guys that post newest stuff and then make re-post 1 min after OP, same thing, no foul. But they are experienced members, and they report themself 1 min after re-post and edit post to "pls delete".

And after little while no one will bother to make double accounts and still re-post, cause its stupid to get acc deleted every 50 posts....

 

i agree with montana.. reposters need to stop... and 5 chances are more than enough.. if old member finds his thread repost.. he himself report it to forum issue... it will be fair enough..

 

Stop New Registration.. it will help stopping multiple accounts

 

prohibit registration for new users of the forum will reduce traffic
possible for new registration, but limited number of write / day for the new member (in Video section)

 

Stopping new registrations can help, but only a little - repost spammers have already registered numerous backup accounts.

So stopping new registrations AND deleting inactive accounts (6 months or longer with less than a handful of posts), while it doesn't solve the problem completely, would have much more of an impact. Unfortunately, Cayne is too good-natured to do that especially since that also prevents potential new members who want to contribute to other parts of the forum from joining.
