  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Today he has received a restraining order is 3 months
    For the reason: there are too many reports of violations in two days

    while not received a warning from the mods

    a) trashed posts are gone.
    b) as always: check the rules before posting, helps to avoid complaints afterwards
    c) alone the fact that his posts have disappeared over the last couple of days should have been warning enough - i for one would wonder why my posts vanished...
    d) your friend seems to be pretty close to you - you share a significant similar range of IPs. one might even think you two are one...

    I'm not a mod but i guess he made to many reposts or posts that are against the rules. Mods don't send warnings because then they only would be warning members and have no time left for other things.

    The best thing your friend can do after the ban is use the search better.

    give him the following message that it is his second banning from me he has prior warnings and a ban for two weeks. Got back and started the same type of behaviour again. If he had a hard time understanding what reposts mean he could have contacted one of us for further assistance. So this time the ban is longer. If an admin which is higher than me in the foodchain thinks its to harsh with three months it will be adjusted accordingly.

    Bottomline ringoringo hasnt shown any sign that he is willing to change his behaviour so its up to him when he gets back.
