Rexam has produced a new profile bottle for a range of flavoured ciders from Carlsberg Sweden. Xider is a clear and refreshing sparkling cider aimed at Systembolaget and the HORECA sector in Sweden.
Originally, the product was packaged in a standard long necked bottle, utilising sleeving to portray the brand image. Carlsberg wanted their new profile bottle to highlight the wonderful and vibrant colours of the product, ensuring it stands out on the supermarket shelf or behind the bar.
In order to achieve this aim, Rexam Glass Holmegaard produced the new 33cl bottle in flint glass and featured an embossed X on the front. The clear bottle, with minimal labelling, allows the colourful contents inside to shine through and draw in consumers.
The 360º PSL neck and front labels were fixed in place utilising the optical orientation feature on the newly installed labelling machine at the Holmegaard production site. The bottle was designed by JDO in the UK.
The current trend in the global cider market is towards more and more exotic flavours, and this brand is no exception. Xider is available in six different flavour combinations: including, Mandarin/Chilli, Cactus/Lime, Wasabi/Lemon and Pine/Citrus, and is made using a base of apple and pear wine.
Carlsberg is Sweden's leading beverage business, and is part of the international Carlsberg Breweries Group, which operates in over 40 countries worldwide.

Boys, Boys....I spent over 10 years in Europe, and I've had many a Carlsberg pints....and really who cares whether it's from Denmark or Sweden or any other European nation, can we get back to looking at this blond hottie?.

it is danish... cider is from sweden but the brand and beer is danish... always has been and always will be.. if you look at the bottle it is brewed on account of the danish royal court...
