why didn't I make the pizza dough earlier today.. then I could have made a pizza now.

Next time make more then for one pizza and put the dough you don't use in the freezer

 

Apparently, a day without making pizza dough.

 

So sad.

 

The all-time record here for one snow event is slightly over 24 inches.

 

If you consider that it was valentines day.. pretty shitty in fact

If you just call it Friday .. pretty normal, helped the neighbor, changed some lights in the dash of my car, shoveled some snow, got more firewood carried to the porch, fed the chickens and cats.. I think that's it

 

a few years back I woke up to 40 inches that fell over night (+ the 20ish inches that was already there before)

 

Well, I guess I had a shitty Valentine's Day too, then. But I was just thinking of it as the 14th this year.

the least I would expect would be a kiss on the cheek, then I'd maybe call it a good day

 

We had a day like that in Chicago back in '78 or '79. Since I was a teenager I thought it was cool.

was no use in beginning to shovel it away. only had to work my way over to the garage to get the snowblower out of there

Last night a manager stopped me after I came out of the bathroom, after our break was finished. He got on me for not going during my break. I said I didn't have to go till I stood up. (Other people were hearing this conversation.) He said I don't believe you, go during your break. I said I was not lying, I didn't have to go till I stood up. (i have to go frequently since my surgery. They fucked with my bladder and kidney, etc.) So he walked down the hall and I followed him, and told him off, long and loud. I wasn't lying, I have to go a lot, and that's no way to treat an employee, etc. I was certain I was going to get written up, at least. At the end of the night he called me into the HR office ... and he APOLOGIZED to me, said he was wrong, the managers are under time pressure, etc. I almost fell down. This guy never apologizes. I shook his hand, went over a couple of things in a very friendly way with him. He had a look of relief on his face -- the kind of relief after you get something off your back. I smiled at him and said I understand your pressure. Then we walked out.

 

I haven't had a date on Valentines Day since I don't know when. My past several relationships with women have been brief affairs at best. In the long run it's been cheaper that way.
