    Some time ago an aunt had an old photo that my mother, her brother and other sister also wanted. My aunt who wanted a copy asked my mom to take it to a copyshop here in town, she made one copy to show my aunt. She found it a good copy. I asked my mom if i could have the photo, scanned it and printed it. Turns out my version was better then the copyshop made. Both my uncle and aunt found my copy also better.

    I have done that many times in the past with very old and sometimes damages family photos. I was able to scan them and using graphical software greatly improve the digital file so that when I printed them, they were much better. I was able to about 90% remove water stains, cracking lines, etc. These photos were so old they were all black/white.

    You can buy one for less than half that price at Walmart. Still a lot for a TV though.

    About a year ago I paid $450 for a 40" Samsung HD.....I am very happy with it and it will need to last me quite sometime. ;)
