    I got my license just prior to my freshman year, in NC. They wouldn't let freshmen drive so I subbed that year. Drove a route the final three years.

    It would be easier to say what doesn't go on...:lol: ....in 2002, the first one I attended, the total number of bikers was estimated at 650,000. :shock: It is huge with centers of "entertainment" located within a 35 mile radius.

    Sorry don't have a diesel but i did learn to drive in a diesel because they are easier to drive. If you release the clutch slowly then the car starts to roll even if you don't give any gass

    We went through a two week course and had to log 40 hours with an instructor. The buses would only run 35MPH then. We collectively found found ways around that.

    My current vehicle is the first one I have owned that is automatic. I did so for two reasons; 1) I use to drive on interstates often to attend meeting and use cruise-control for that.....automatic transmissions work better for that, and 2) all of the safety features mandated on today's vehicle negate much of the advantages of a standard transmission....i.e. you cannot bump start a car with a dead battery or start the car in gear if the clutch linkage is broken (until I wielded the defective part on my '75 Dodge van, a connecting rod in the clutch system broke about 4 times....I could put the van in first gear and drive it home by turning off the engine at stop signals, then start it while it was in first gear when the signal turned green.
