    Safety is always a consideration.....I have over a million highway miles on motorcycles with no injuries.....got hurt a little a few time on race tracks, but not on the streets, though I have totaled a few bikes. :dunno:

    I have tried out a Honda 900 bol d'or ... made me scared of speed unprotected.
    Been faster with a Porsche 911 on Autobahn in about 250Km/h ... also scary !

    I rode a few real bikes. My favorite was either an old Harley shovelhead w/ apehangers or a Ducati 998 Monster. Ducati didn't seem like it would ever quit accelerating....the Harley was purely for cruising.

    Many years ago I got up to around 165 MPH on a bike.....and I had my current Harley up to 125 MPH before I backed off the throttle as it was still accelerating, but I was not interested in going any faster. My 2001 Harley is only 88 cubic inches (1450cc) with a carburetor and normally aspirated.
