couple guys were out hunting looking for caribou, snowmobile broke down Monday. they were somehow separated.

one of them walked to a cabin and arrived yesterday. the other walked back to town and he arrived this morning at 11:30am. I figure he walked around 40 to 50 miles.

 

Yeah, what are the circumstances this time?

 

Damn. So who are they still looking for?

 

I'm just guesstimating how much he walked. could have been 30 miles.

we know where they other guy is. he walked over to a cabin that is well known to us Hunters, he told his family that's where he was going off to, he made it there. when the Search Party made it there he was waiting.

there is marginal weather right now so they are waiting out the weather at the cabin. they have food and heat there.

 

That sounds like it's going to be a good outcome.

just got the call.

everyone made it back to town safe and sound.

done, just have to do the report in the morning.

 

Ah. That explains it all.

 

Reports seem so much better when the outcome is good.

 

yes, they are easy ones to do.

it's the ones that don't.

 

Those are never easy because you are basically signing the last paper on them.

So Mel is a 14 year old kid. It is so easy to pull a sham over the internet. I wish him well, though.

I just hope his separation notice is factual and sincere. I can certainly understand a boy in preadolescence feeling rejected or shunned at school taking refuge chatting on the net. I hope his life is turning around as he indicated. Life is generally good, but you have to attack it - take the bull by the horns so to speak. The passive tend to get run over. :2cent:
