    I know i'm in the extreme minority, but i don't see the big deal with portman. havn't seen many of her movies, but she seems like an average actress to me. think she's good looking, but not super sexy.

    what was she really good in? i know i've seen her in more, but right now the only movies i can think of are the star wars movies. i know those are not the best films to show great acting.

    1- She was so young
    2- Even though a young girl cannot give a better performance in any movie than she did in Leon, it doesn't tell us "What's she doing now."

    "Where the Heart Is" and "Anywhere But Here" are really more like chick-flicks. I think she (and her co-stars: Susan Sarandon and Ashley Judd) were great in those films.
