    well I'm certainly not in a rush, as I watch TV maybe once a week at most - the next purchase is upgrading this thing & getting some more drive space along with it - but that will be a build I do myself.

    it´s just all about this "hype"... why a media with more capacity than 9GB? because companies have to fond sth to sell.
    in my business: seen demos with quattro-SLI-nvidia-graphic-cards with 1GB video-memory for 1500USD. what for? to see you´re killed faster na ego-shooter-game? *lol*

    For viewing pics and porn all i need is a 64bit card. I usually install a 128 smply because i do play some games. But i am not a hard core gamer so i don't need anything fancy.

    Tell me a bit more about this DHTV riv. is that just a typo and you meant HDTV? cause i have had a HDTV for about 4 years now. My satellite provider only offers about 6 HD channels i can watch but so far it is well worth it when you play dvd or watch sports on ESPN. :D

    in most cases it´s used as a typo for advertising here. the "normal" customer has no ideas, i believe.

    talking about HDTV - i1080 (1080 lines), but to get a proper picture you need have a capable screen.
    and don´t forget the "source". the overwhelming part of movies etc. are not filmed in HD, so...resampling. seen some sports-samples - very nice, for sure.
    anyways... new satellite-reciever (no HD on cable as for now here), new TV...

    Well i have a HD satellite reciever and module for my tv. The clarity is awsome and even some dvd's look better on the monitor. I am just a bit dissapointed that they haven't upgraded all the channels like how it is mandated by the US goverment.
