    It's a great series. I've missed half the episodes, though. I actually read the book when it came first out. You should read it if it's available to you.

    I remember first time i saw it in late seventies..
    Then I bought the whole series on DVD and see it once in a while..
    And hayd, its about a group of American doctors on the frontline during the Korean war in 1950s..trying to relieve the tensions through fun..brilliant

    Your description is perfect. A situation comedy. The situation is the Korean War. The characters are U.S. soldiers who are doctors and nurses, etc. Each character is unique and funny. As aftab said, it's about relieving the tensions in a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) through funny situations.
