    It's wild, I read that Captain Beefheart actually insisted on recording the vocal tracks without headphones, so all of it is way off time-wise.

    That alone is enough to scare people the fuck away! :p

    What about post-rock bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor? or folk groups like Tunng?
