    If you guys are into tea or coffee I got some really rare and exotic stuff i brought back. One is coffee beans excreted from the Asian Palm Civet. These coffee beens are prized throughout the world because these Civits only eat the most prime choice coffee beans in the fields and when they poop the beans are undigested. 1 pound sells for well over $120 if you can even find them. I bought it from a coffee plantation and got me a kilo (they sell things in metrics in vietnam) for about $30(an average worker's whole month salary).

    I also got whole leaf green tea from the northern region as well. No stems or fertilizers or pesticides etc.

    I don't either, that is why I plan on giving half of it away as gifts and experimenting with the other half. :lol:

    I like it for it's novelty and would have brought back more but we were only in that region for 2 days and still had 1.5 weeks left to travel and I just couldn't carry much more stuff with me. But in general each special place i visited I got something back that is well known for that region. Including a small handbag that is used by the indigenous men in one area for carrying money. That traveled with me throughout my entire trip because it was so handy. It held my sunglasses and just 100,000VND (roughly $5.50USD) for quick purchases and the rest is stored away in a waist pouch with my Visa.

    I gave most stuff away. I am only keeping the man-purse as a souvenir for myself since it went with me throughout the entire trip practically. All the specialty food items have been distributed as gifts, except a few I wanna experiment with.
