It allways wonders me how many people use torrents these days, nobody of u guys ever used newsgroups or is using them ? Cause i use them now for like 5 or more years already, and i've actually never downloaded any files that contained a virus, trojan or whatsoever, i know in holland it's one of the most used programs to download cause it allows you to use your full downloadspeed aswell.

I don't even know what a newsgroup is. If I download films I tend to use single file hosts.

You could denial of service them, in the off chance you werent slamming some poor guy jst like you who is being used, just like AFX is. Best way to handle intrusions like that are to disappear and change the way you do things.

I could start a thread like that Kaos, but then I'd have to endure all the crap that goes with it. Not the people who use it. But the experts/helpers/pitas can get real tiresome. I absolutely detest it when i help somebody out for 2-3 days then while I'm sleeping, some genius comes in and starts them all over again in a different direction, and it gets totally screwed up. It's happened here already a couple times. i was helping somebody out around the time when everybodys harddrives were dieing and somebody with like 4 posts jumped in and started telling them it was blah blah blah, when all it probably was was a bad surge protector and this genius had the guy looking for a bad cmos battery on a 6 month old system. I dont remember who the person was that needed help. But I bet they didnt get it.

That way, it's more of a general computer fix-up guide, rather than having to be an IT guy 24/7.

The dutch orginasation BREIN wanted to stop the use of FTD, a tool that allows u to search for all the programs , games movies and stuff for usenet, they did some statements in papers that FTD was illigal and stuff. Now FTD returned the favor

Yes.........I understand........you do that shit at work all day........and this is a place for you to have phun and relax..........Let's keep it that way......and those whom know you can ask for help when they need it!........Sorry to be propping your skills so much......You are awesome....but I now see your side.......and want this to be a place for you to enjoy........no one wants to bring work home w/ them.... And as you said above....that sucks even more.......helping someone for 3 days and having someone else screw it all up.......I completely understand! I would rather see you contributing awesome creative stuff........than helping out some dufuss whom came across this place on accident...........

just do what I suggested.

just make a simple tips/guide thread and get it locked as soon as it's done so that people can't post stupid shit on it but it will still help out a lot of people.

 

I tend to leave it on this channel while browsing phun. It's therapeutic.
