I beat the living shit outta my body today. Never ran up and down so many hills looking for my dog before in my life over a 2 hour period. We lost track of each other when she went down the step side of a ravine and i went down the ridge for a slower decent, by the time i got to the bottom i couldn't see her and when i called to her she must have backtracked up the hill where she las saw me and kept on going searching for me. I tried to follow her but my two legs with a sack full of birds and lugging a shotgun was just way to much for me to catch up to her. Every muscle in my body aches right about now.

yeah, she found a group of other hunters and started hunting for them! Damn bitch! :lo:


No they leashed her up for me and was trying to call the number on her tag, but out there where we were hunting there is no reception. So i was so glad they found her. Only way i could hae caught up eventually. Thought i lost her and that would make for an extremely shitty holliday.

 

well glad you found her at least, that's good to hear! makes things a lot better - I know that would have been tough.

 

yeah, i was surprised there was another party hunting about 3/4 mile away. with the hills i think i must have ran about 2 miles total but lugging all that equipment up and down those hills was brutal. But it was all worth it since i did find my dog in the end.

 

only two miles? lightweight!!!!

sorry, just remembering younger, stupider days... two miles now would definitely suck in the mountains, I can agree

Not much man, enjoying 2 more days off work before I go back on Wed.

 

Not me.......had 1 day off (Sunday)...only 8 hour days until Thurs, then back to back to back......to back double shifts. :?
