What other beers would you suggest? I would prefer something similar to the Rochefort 10, or ABT 12.

Well I'm gutted I missed the Euphoria conversation, but I caught the tail-end of a beer one so that's some consolation.

We have a Belgian Beer Cafe in the city, fucking expensive. $13 Australia for a Hoegarden, that's over 6 euros I think. Great beer though. Sancho; Heineken can be your best friend this festive season :)

I've never been a fan on Heineken for some reason. At least there are still a couple trappist beers that the liquor stores here still carry. :)

We've got James Boag for Christmas, Aussie beer. Not bad, could have better but it'll get drunk.

I don't know what beers you guys in the states are huge on. I've sampled Budweiser and I'll be honest, it's pretty shit IMO.

I don't like Budweiser either, and I agree with you. As far as American domestic beers, I enjoy Coors Light, and Miller Genuine Draft.

However, I will usually always prefer a micro-brew, and try to drink them whenever possible over the more mainstream beers.

There's a lot of nice beers out there that people would hardly know about. Found one called Marriner, it's imported (Dutch) and is $30 a carton, whereas most foreign beers are at least $40. Nice drop as well.

    Night man.

    Sancho; Here's a review

Really nice taste, no bitterness afterwards, great on a hot day. Hard to describe but does the job for me.

Grolsh is a nice beer, bit expensive though so I don't buy it a lot. Probably will have Becks if I go out this evening.

Yeah, I hear ya. But one thing to remember.....life is too short to drink cheap beer.

    My life's motto.

Brief appearance, and pissed I missed the beer conversation... so I'll summarize my answers - not a fan of the Belgians.... but LOVE microbrews - make it a point to try a couple of new ones every month & remember the ones I like

and most mass produced beer is shite no matter what country you're from - ok for an occasional quick drink, but once you get something with real hops & flavor, you can't go back! it's like high speed internet compared to dial up!

plus I won't support any Budweiser product for political reasons of my own...

    anyway!
