my bet is somewhere in the Mediterranean coast area - typical of architecture & scenery I've seen there.... cheaper than Cali real estate but it will still set you back a few.

I broke down and bought a 750gig external hd.

dang - couldn't hold out for the 1Tb drive?

 

No i needed it so i can have everything organized for when the coder comes this weekend. The only bad thing about having a large external hd is each time i turn it on it takes the comp 10 minutes or so to "autorun" or load up all the preview for the contents on that drive. It takes forever.

 

So why the unhappy face?

 

well turn that feature off then I would think - same as a zip drive I set mine not to autosync or check anything, just to list the dang thing...
but guess that will all help when the coder shows - 1 week closer to launch date.

Well once he comes I will have about at least 40 hours worth of stuff to put into it. It will be a huge process to fill in all the empty space myself. But once i have it all in then i will launch it. My projection date now is end of this month.

I am now in the process of using that huge space to transfer every site rip i did on 3 hd's (2X200gig and 1X300gig) drives into it so I can install those 3 old drives and a new hd into that hd case i bought for myself for christmas. Then i should have everythng organised to my liking, then making research on my subjects a whole lot easier.

not when your main goal was just to site rip before without a purpose. Now that i have a purpose the problem i run into is i have duplicated rips but at different intervals. And the worst part is some sites changed their file names or delete old material. SO an old rip might contain deleted material and a new rip would have the added stuff. So on all the duplicated site rips (about 40 of them) I have to comb through everything to make sure i copied everything over. :-?

well if you want to give a comprehensive review that is part of the problem.

For example christinamodel's site will only display 250 of the most current sets. That means the first 300 sets are no longer available.

But yeah, I will probably leave the hardest stuff to tackle for another time. Right now the simplest things to organise is what i am after. Hopefully this will be the last time i will have to do this.
