    i actually learned to use dry flies first while backpacking in yosemite. It was so much fun to be able to catch 70+ wild trout while standing in 1 spot! I was hooked ever since!
    I have a 3, 5, 7, and 2X 9 weight rod. All you need is those weight class rods and you can pretty much catch anything out there. For you a 5 and 7 would be perfect for your inland fishing. ;)

    Well the only times I've fished I was forced to go and we sat in lawn chairs and waited forever for a fish to bite. I'm sure if i was on a boat or had a good spot to fish it could be enjoyable.

    I came across a man sitting by a river totally set up for a day of fishing. he had everything you could need - ice chest full of beer and sandwiches, a folding chair under an umbrella to keep the sun off, boombox with tunes, a rod holder to rest his fishing pole on. He looked totally relaxed. I asked how the fishing was and he said to me with a grin, "Great! I haven't been bothered by a fish all day!"
