plus you have a tractor! I only have a 19" push mower and 12" weedeater. Granted both are brand new, so they work. More than I can say for what I used to use.

We had two weeks of daily rain and 100 degree heat, so the grass was to my knees, I am covered in mosquito/chigger bites, and generally miserable. At least I was able to dull the pain with alchohol each night. Now I can't since I have to function at a high level for the job.

Oh well, on to better times, such as surfing phun!

Go for it - spontaneous get aways are the best! I hear ya, been a while since i've gotten away myself. Talked to the wife about this past weekend, going to try to plan a trip sometime next month - probably to San Destin, FL. It's a very nice beach town.

We've been lucky this summer - haven't had a huge problem with mosquitos this year even though we had a mild winter. It's been very dry so they haven't had extra breeding areas of water standing. Cheer up, look at some nice t & a - that always works for me.

Haven't been back to New Orleans since Katrina - need to go back sometime. I love that place, ofcourse i'm a huge fan of blues music. We wen't from bar to bar listening to the different bands/singers. Would order a beer and stay just as long as it took to finish it then move on - was great.

I love Chicago - porbably my favorite city to visit. Never been to Boston, the wife and I both want to go there. New York is great too, I don't care to go back there, seeing it a couple of times is enough for me. LOL - most people here enjoy hearing foreign accents - myself included.

Well, I can't afford to go anywhere. Between ice storm and tornado clean up expenses, unexpected medical bills, and losing my second job all over the past 6 months, all my play money is gone and I am in debt over my head.

I am going to get a 3 day weekend here at the end of the month. Plan to at least hit a pub and go to the driving range.

you may want to wait on Chicago, their team is in a world of hurt, and I'm a fan.

New York will be good right now, reigning superbowl champs and their new hero Brett Favre.

Sorry to hear of all your misfortunes man, you do need a break for a while. Did insurance not help with any of those repairs?

No, i've never been but always wanted to. I just don't think I can make it on a plane that long - I get claustrophobic after only a few hours on a plane. There's many places over there I would love to see.

I already ranted on them before, but no help from insurance. I have a high deductible, and they claimed I could get round 1 (ice) fixed for less than my deductible and then claimed the second for round 2 (tornado).

I tried to contest their assessments, but no luck. Even told the assesor I would pay him what he quoted if he would make the repairs. He said no, he charges more when he does the work.

I am starting back up to a second job next month, so all will be well soon.

Once I have the money, I would like to take a Eurotrip hitting all the local breweries and seeing the sites.

Yeah, we always take the "redeye" flights when we go to Vegas - it takes 4 1/2 hours to get out there. I try to get shitfaced before getting on the plane but it never helps - I always sober up before it's over.

That sucks man. I've only had one dealing with my insurance company and was lucky. Had a direct hit from lightning that took out my central heat/air unit amoung other things. I've got a $1000 deductable myself but I knew the man that replaced the unit for me so he helped me out with that. Wasn't able to cover all of it but a good bit.
