Yea, nothing better than sitting under a shade tree drinking beer waiting on them to fly by. I haven't had any good dove hunting in Texas but always do well in Kansas.

 

We used to hunt a lot of prairie dogs back home to. That's quite a blast.

 

i was on a prairie dog hunt earlier this year. It was fun but because of the volitile weather it sucked. Shot only about 1,000 of those little fuckers in the 4 days i was up there.

well i brought up close to 3,000 rounds, shot over 1,000 rounds and i am sure most hit. So yeah, around 1,000.

 

How big was the clearing?

 

i was shooting on 3 seperate rancher's fields. They are several thousand acres each, but there was one field where there was a bunch of them coming out, i mainly focused on just 1 field. You can search for my vacation thread i made a couple months back.

I just signed up for a poker tournament at the local card club for this sunday, will be interesting to see how it goes. Me and 4 friends are planning on if we should all intentionally lose to each one person so he will have enough money to make a good run for the championship.

 

Yea, I'm getting ready to get outta here for the day but I'll be back in working all weekend to make a deadline I found out about today. Not looking forward to that so I'm gonna go see Pirates 3 and get drunk afterwards with the wife.

Depending on how good the guys you're playing against you may have to do that to get someone into the finals. HAd a buddy that made it to the finals in a pretty tough tourney by folding all the time. They put him out in like 10 minutes cause he was so short stacked.

 

yeah, that is what we are thinking is the plan. Shove all the chips to one single strong player to make him stronger and give ourselves a better chance of at least one of us winning.

 

Should work, I haven't played cards in a long time. What are you guys playing in the tourney? Hold-em?

 

yeah, it is limited holdem though. I only had played with friends and never in a tournament. so this will be interesting. I am shocked being a texan you don't play holdem more often. You might be a transplant Texan.
