He badmouths his teammates, raped a woman, views himself as the driving factor on teams that he played on with Shaq, cheats on his wife incessantly, tries to use her as a propoganda piece when he's in trouble, invites only his African-American teammates to his parties (the inverse Derrick Lowe phenomenon), and tries too hard to isolate and run things himself even in games where there's a major mismatch to exploit.

And then tries to flash the suave nice-guy smile in the media.

shaq has done done his share of badmouthing, was accused of rape then the case thrown out, see however you want but i think the girl was out to get him, if you dont like him because he cheats on his wife then you cant like very many athletes at all, ive never heard about only invitin his black teammates to his parties, hes the leader of the team and led the to the finals, and regardless of all the offcourt stuff hes the best player in the league

Shaq always supported Kobe when they were teammates, and didn't pretty much go to the Lakers and make a "him or me" demand. I don't like Shaq much either, but that's because he's a stupid idiot who's terrible in interviews and somehow the media thinks he's charasmatic and funny (the Barkley syndrome). But that's a far cry from being an outright asshole like Kobe is, even if you stick your fingers in your ears and don't believe the rape charges.
