Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     I've heard from a prominent tech chick here in the states, that sometimes
    you can throw the drive in the freezer for a bit, and on occasion you can get it to spin up long enough to retrieve your stuff. Ever hear that? :confused:

    Doesn't surprise me a bit. Makes sense actually. If ya cool the stuff off enough, it'll slow down the chemical reactions that make the battery lose it's "juice" so to speak.

    Not sure if it actually works with the HDs, but this chick http://komando.com/ says it does, and she knows her shit. Writes for USA Today, and is on the radio nationally on the weekends.
