    of prairie dogs? That would be impossible to know because i don't hit with every shot. My best guess if i average them out is i'd probably get 3 out of every 5 shots. It varies depending upon wind, distance, and whether they are running, laying down or standing up. The easiest shots are the ones where they are standing. :lol:

    I was thinking it'd be easy to know depending on the number of corpses left in the aftermath. If you wound one it is classified unconfirmed.

    You forgot to factor in muzzle jump. I don't always see the moment of impact. And alot of times they are in areas with grass and cover. If you missed and they run into their hole by the time you get your scope back in focus on that spot they could have run into their hole. Alot of times you just don't see it. :(

    usually seagulls would fly in and clean up before we are even done shooting and their site would scare all the ground squirrels into hiding. That and the coyotes, crows, owls, and countless other animals eat them so we never bother. Then there are times where they blow up into red vapors if you hit them just right and there is nothing left behind to even see. :p
