Sucks right now, i've got a server that i'm trying to restore but it's bombing out on me.

I'm a network administrator/project manager for a hospital. I install and baby sit servers and push out the apps to the desktop.

 

That's a big-time job. Very impressive.

 

ahh, not really. Kids today know almost as much as I do without any schooling.

 

When a server dies at a hospital, is it called "flatlining?"

It can be very bad at times, depends on what server it is that goes down. The one i'm working on now is important but it doesn't serve any patient related funtions - those are the ones that are bad. I've got several that has to be up to treat patients.

 

Well, I have to go to bed. If ares comes back, tell him not to forget to have his Jewish penicillin (chicken soup) for dinner.

Hey, bama, I freelance as a writer. Find out if your hospital uses freelancers. All you have to tell them is that you know a guy who worked at Campbell-Ewald Advertising (they do all Chevrolet's stuff) who freelances. Anyone in the know will "get it."

 

Okay, not sure what they would need a writer for though. We've got a community relations dept. that does whatever tv commercials we do.

hey just on a break. came home to pack up so I can go check in early. that way you don't have to fucking wait in line.

 

Whenever i travelled way back in that day, i'd get to an airport hours before i needed to be, partly because then i definitely wouldn't miss the flight, and partly because you didn't have to fucking wait in line.

 

yeah it's good to do pilgrim.

plus the airport here is only a mile away so it's easy to check in.

 

It's a lesson from my father; it's better to be three hours early than ten minutes late.

I remember telling a few irate passengers that tried to demand planes turn around while taxiing out for departure and the Airlines would call me the airport manager (then). "BUT THE PLANE IS STILL HERE!" GRR.

"sir we have rules for a reason, the gate closes 20 minutes prior to departure to do the weight and balance, the flight is closed, please wait until the next one"
