I've been reading newspapers and US News and World Report since I was a kid. Politics was discussed in my home in a matter of way, never with any real vigor or passion but with an eye toward reality. My parents aren't registered to either party, they just vote for who they think is the best choice - a situation that gets more and more difficult each year because the quality of candidates has diminished so. I carry on in their footprints and refuse to be dazzled by hype or spin.

Have you noticed that the more today's advanced media exposes about the candidates, the less glamourous those candidates seem? Maybe the quality of candidates lessened. But I think maybe we just know too much about them today.
