i dunno man, at the indoor range i go to you have to mark all your own brass and can only pick up the ones you mark. It is just a huge pain in the ass. :-?

now you know why i hate collecting spent brass from a semi-auto?

I reload my 44 mag cause it is a revolver and the shells are left inside the cylinder. That is easy enough, but the semis suck.

You need to make a shell catcher out of a small mesh bag that affixes to the slide.

I wonder how much ammo cost you over there DG. Cause whenever i go to my hunting grounds it borders oregon and that is when i buy my supplies. I save on sales tax and a 15% firearms tax that is exclusive to just california. So a case of shotgun shells would run $35 in oregon would be $45 bucks here.

 

they make one, but who wants to shoot with an apparatus attached to the side of your gun that will start weighing it down as shells are ejected into it? :-?

 

well a lot depends on what I'm buying obviously
for example
77grain 5.56 black hills runs about 48 new for a box of 50, or about 35 for a box of reloads
.308 low end runs about 38 for a box of 50

 

Then stop complaining.

The gun shops in my area only carry boxes of 20 rounds. I guess they figure it is so much here lets not traumatize the people with 50 round boxes.

On rifle rounds it costs about a dollar a round. I remember 13 years ago when i got started looking that was how much a round of 50bmg use to run. Now you can get only a 22-250 round for about 90 cents each. :-?

you don't shoot in a time when brass is costing a ton of money. Bullets are super expensive now and picking up on some types of brass just not efficient. :-?
