We just sleep in tents but we get about 6 campsites all together and set up a little village of sorts with canopies and all the works

I usually get a couple of E's on fridays and then go rave!

 

Wether you enjoy racing or not - that sounds like a blast. I used to go camping with a few friends but never that many, hell I'd probably have to take off the next monday and tueday to recover from that.

yea, the camping and hanging out with everyone is as much or more fun than the race itself, and I do take monday off to recover, it takes a while to tear down the campsite as well, we set it up a week before the race because we have so much crap out there

 

you prefer a more intimate setting than an orgyfest?

The dove hunting sucked this weekend Azz if that makes you feel any better about my hunting privalages

 

Reminds me of the one backpacking trip where i rented a mule ride to help me carry my supplies up to a remote lake. I brought up a watermelon and a sack of potatoes. I'd never been able to do that if i didn't had the rented mules.

 

Yea, those watermelons can be tricky

Hey you read the article about the non-indigenous ringneck Eurasian doves that is now invading our continent? They are thinking about opening the season all year round for hunters to help eradicate them.

 

We can already shoot them here, they're a lot bigger than other doves, and if I remember correctly there's no limit on them in Texas

EDIT: just saw the all year around part you put in there, that would be greatness other than the fact that they are still migratory so you'd still have to pretty much shoot them in dove season

 

you damn right it was special. I had so much luxury items up there like an inflatable bed, cooking stove big enough to hold a large pot of oil for deep frying, and a whole slew of other nice amenities. And we made that our basecamp and did day hikes to other remote lakes within a day's walking distance from our base camp. It was one of the most fun trips i had. When i do backpacking carrying my own stuff that is really roughing it.

 

That would be a pretty good trip
