Down here, a 'ranga' is a really derogatory (and incredibly hilarious) name for people with red hair.

I can't stomach Dr.Pepper, the taste is horrible to me.

In Australia such drinks are called 'soft drink'.

I love Pepsi Max (don't think you guys have that, but it's their equivalent to Coke Zero).

Yeah, but many Americans believe we have kangaroos as pets, and they just casually roam the suburban streets, so compared to them, you're well educated.

Kangaroo isn't a mainstream meat, in fact it's rarely ever eaten, but you can buy it in most supermarkets if you want it.

Obesity is really a big problem here, no pun intended. It starts early with parents feeding their kids crap because it's expedient. Fortunately it's come to the forefront of health issues so hopefully the trend won't continue. We'll see.

I don't care for McDonalds, their food is bland imo. I tend to stay away from most takeout anyway, unless it's Mexican food or pizza. Talk about fattening!

Besides Las Vegas I also lived in New Orleans, another big tourist town. I will readily admit that Australians are the coolest fuckin people in the world. I've never met an asshole from Australia - which is not to say there aren't any, just that your country seems to breed an inordinant number of jovial folk compared to a great many others..

After I left Chicago it took me a while to get used to saying soda or cola because no one knew what I meant by pop!

I had one of them the other day. There's a Maccas near my office so often at 9am when I get hungry (I don't eat breakfast when I get up) I will sneak out (during paid time of course) for a morning snack.
