    It's because I have this old Socket 7 mobo, and I have a few CPUs that uses this socket (2 K6-2's and a P166 MMX), and I'd like to use it as a pc for downloading purposes, so I won't have to leave my quad-core behemoth on at night.
    I have an old SIS videocard for the other pc, but I'd like to control it over something like VNC, cause I don't want to invest in a KVM switch.
    I'm not gonna run PXE.

    scribe and Jamms are counting the best signature results now hayd. everyone has to reup their votes to imagebam or imagehaven and post them so they can be counted.

    after that they will count them up and be posted.

    I figure another 12 to 24 hours before they are revieled.

    I think the whole sig concept is wrong...you cant vote something that changes all the time!
    I think next yr the creators should nominee 2 or 3 each and then all the rest vote the best...not like this year that we were voting between 100+ sigs...the best will have IMO 3 votes tops!

    I doubt it anymore, I don't really do much with hardware level things. My job is keeping servers, san, virus software, application software, etc.. up to date with the latest version. Also i do a shitload of project management now.

    The reason why I don't want a kvm switch is because my monitor has a DVI port, my mouse is USB, and my keyboard is PS/2.
    Also, if I don't use a video card, I can make a much more compact enclosure for the pc.

    For VNC or RDP you will have to have it networked - do you have a hub/switch? Also, you don't have to have a display for it boot and the usb is hot-swappable. Get a ps/2 to usb converter and just boot it up and swap your keyboard and mouse back and forth.

    I haven't heard his side of it yet. All i've heard is that he defo did it in a night club in NYC not Applebeys and he didn't have a permit to carry a firearm. They'll end up slapping him on the wrist but I bet the Giants will let him go - this isn't the first time he's had issues with the front office.
