    We're not allowed more than 1 week off at a time. Only other people that I know of that get more are bankers. They make them take off 2 weeks in case they a embezzling money from the bank it would give the bank time to catch it. I get 3 weeks per year. I take 2 1 week vacations and use the other 5 days for just taking a personal day here and there.

    It's just the way it is in the US. This isn't the only place like that, all different businesses in the US do things like that. Some just have more vacation days than others.

    Schools close....15/12-5/2 for Christmas...10/4-27/4 for Easter and 12/6-7/9 summer...can you count how many days is that?

    Our schools is a different story all together. They get off 2 weeks for Christmas, I think it's 2 months for Summer, 1 week for Spring break, 1 week for fall break, plus all Federal holidays - which is 8 now I think. Government employees get all the Federal holidays off too.
