    It pays the bills. It's very stressful at times, there's a lot of patient care that directly relies on the some of the systems that I babysit. And yes, it doesn't happen really often but there's times that i've been here 30 hours at a time because of problems and I can't tell you how many times i've had to come up here in the middle of the night. Comes with the territory though, you know it when you decide to come to work here.

    No doubt Ed. Don't get me wrong, it has it's rewarding moments too. I just get pissed sometimes because it seems I have the shit end of the stick more times than anyone else in the dept. does.

    LOL - well, kinda. We all have our specialties here. I'm the Windows admin and we have a unix, and linux admin. We've got 5 unix servers, about 20 linux servers, and about 80 - 85 Windows servers. You can do the math from that.
