i just had a monster drink, i think i am addicted to monster drinks. :-?

it use to be 1 can of monster 2 at most per day. now i am at minimum 2 cans up to 4 cans per day.

Azz, we purchase oil from over a 100 different sources, so many in fact that we banned imported oil from Iraq - as we did with Libya - without even noticing it. Iraq's sudden oil availablity had nothing to do with the spike in oil prices over the summer, or the fact that oil prices have plummeted since. Nothing. Barrel per day oil production remained flat in that time. International demand barely changed. The reason oil prices went up was because speculators were using oil as a commodity to hedge against the devaluation of the dollar. They chose oil because it's a fungible commodity, but they could've chosen wheat just as easily, except there was less money to be made in it by options buyers. Short sellers made a killing too eventually. These inflated bubbles are not created by suppliers but by traders. It's more psychological than anything.

 

wow a local company in my area has a 90% drop in their profits this past quarter. I hope my uncle's job will be safe. :-?

there is a scheme to rip off the ultimate consumers everyday! If we have to have it they will figure out a way to screw us over. It is alot esier to screw a bunch of people a few bucks per fill-up than just 1-2 entities by billions of dollars.

They played us and we changed our driving habits accordingly and it helped.

But having a free iraq to supply as much oil as they chose to will help boost supply, and from a macro standpoint any increase in supply will help lower prices in the long term regardless of market bubbles and manipulations. 8)
