As it turned out Ashley won going away. The other match between Fernanda and Michelle was unpredictable going in, but Michelle's win sets up yet another intriguing Round 2 match, as Michelle takes on Ashley.

My spin: Daniela and Nina both advanced very easily to the second round, despite facing formidable competition. This sets up a huge matchup in Round 2, which I think could go either way. Daniela is the favorite by rank, because of her many appearances in the SI Swimsuit Issue, but the only disadvantage Nina has is her tenure. Simply put, Nina could quite possibly have a lengthy string of appearances like Daniela did, given enough time. This one should be very interesting!

My spin: When placed side-by-side, Rebecca and Mallory had a lot of similarities in terms of overall look, body type, boobs, etc. In my mind, what separates the two are Rebecca's many accomplishments in SI. The voters agreed, and that spelled the end of a good run for Mallory. In the other match, Sheila didn't stand a chance against Amber's cleavage. The Round 2 matchup looks interesting, but I think Rebecca goes in as a favorite.

My spin: These were two close matches throughout! Julie becomes the 5th seeded model to fall, and Kim continues her impressive run all the way through the a difficult couple of matches in the Qualifying Draw and now another toughie here in the Main Draw. In the other match, it was virtually even the whole way, but just enough people went with Ingrid to propel her into Round 2. The Round 2 match between Kim and Ingrid should be very interesting to observe.
