Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     ...and what isn't. Okay, with Victoria's Secret almost nothing is not photoshopped (although I think that considering lighting and posing to be manipulation is going a little far, by that definition NO photo isn't manipulated. Even if I'm shooting a landscape I may chose a certain time of day because I like the warmth or coolness of the light or the shadows fall a certain way. To me manipulation is what happens AFTER the image is recorded but that's just me). Anyway here is a link to a Victoria's Secret Photoshopper;

    Also while this doesn't cover model photography it may give you insight into just how demanding an art director may be. These are comments someone left (EXFIL data BTW is a file on a digital photo that records all sorts of amazing stuff, from comments to GPS positioning to camera used to serial number of the camera) an EXFIL file on an image.

    Anyway while I know that there are some shooters and photoshoppers and other industry types here (Who I doubt will be surprised by any of this) for those who aren't I think this may give you a peek inside the biz, and what does and doesn't happen to a photo of a celebrity. I would caution you however that these are for studio shots. Paparazzi shots, where it's a rush to get your images out first, generally aren't manipulated to any great degree because it takes time. While you're removing a blemish from Selena's face, someone else has beat you to the sale. Most Paps upload their shot from the street.
