    I guess xray means well but just gets overexited to some point.
    A pixel basically contains info on color and brightness, hence these are the only infos you can manipulate.
    Since a jpg image is a compression format, it has already erased quite a bit of these color/brightness infos. So there is only that much you can do.
    It's pointless to do more 'cause that's just adding what's not there and in all pure guess work.
    C-through's tut is a fine example of how it should be done and then stop at it.

    Don't take it wrong xray it's just my opinion ;)

    Unfortunately it looks like some sort of a floral patten on her undergarments to me - if you look to the right of what looks to be a nipple, there's another circular object about the same size visible in your pic. I'd label it "inconclusive".

    *edit - on further review, it also appears that she may just have some nipple tape on there - you can see the outline of the square bulge.

    We don't want a GUESS dude. Haven't you been reading anything people have been saying to you?
    If it's not there to bring out with the normal manipulation that c-through just showed you again, then don't fake it. It's insulting to those who do the work and actually bring out something normal.

    I would be more than happy if you explained it then. I thought I read it correctly. You keep posting images where you "Guess" where the nipple is and draw one on, so I'm just confused is all.
    I would be very glad for you to explain where I misunderstood.

    Ray, if you want a Anne Hathaway pic that is actually X-rayable, pick one of these, as her nipples aren't located on the sides of her breasts under her armpits. What you're seeing is where the fabric is gathered together & seamed.

    Ray, I'm only trying to help - when you have good evidence of what a celeb actually looks like from a true see-through or topless shot, you can use that to know if what you're looking at is what you think you're seeing or not as their general anatomical positioning doesn't change much. It also helps with your colorization to know about the skintones (breasts and areolas/nipples) that aren't normally visible.

    If you'd rather your imagination take over instead of reality, I can't help you much. Sorry, I was just trying to offer some constructive criticism to help make this thread better, not just my own work.

    I agree with this - his advice may have been a bit snarky in the manner it was presented, but it was sound constructive criticism. The inability of - erm, x-rayers (I dunno what to call you folk) to take constructive criticism is what just about brought this thread to a screeching halt before. Sure, some people were being outright dicks, but others could get quite upset at even the most valid of helpful words that also happened to be critiques. I'd implore you to listen to him. You don't have to, you're free not to, but it really could help you and he wants to make your work better.

    This is the type of thing that killed the thread last time, IMO. SHUT UP!!! YOU TAKE THOSE CONSTRUCTIVE REMARKS AND LIKE IT YOU GOT THAT???? GOSH!!! The last sentence you wrote is fine, but the first is condescending and rude. Some people will take constructive criticism personally, and if they do and you want them not to, this isn't the way to go about doing it. I understand it may seem justified to you, but please think and be gentle with this type of stuff. How will you react to me saying this, I wonder? :razz:
